A bicyclist was sent to the hospital Tuesday night after being hit by a car.
Lexington police Sgt. Allen Culver said police were called to the intersection of Nicholasvile Road and Man o' War Boulevard at 6:35 p.m. after a woman on a bicycle was hit by a green Honda Accord. The car's windshield was shattered.
The woman, whose name was not given, was sitting up when emergency crews arrived, Culver said. She was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Culver said police are investigating the cause of the accident and trying to determine who was at fault.
