Laurel County deputies arrested two men over the weekend on alcohol-related charges after they were in a car with a seven-month-old child.
Anthony Lawson, 35, of London was charged with drunken driving, driving on a suspended license, evading police, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and marijuana possession, the Laurel County Sheriff's Department said.
Estil Hoskins, 48, of the Gray community in Knox County, was charged with public intoxication, marijuana possession and failure to appear in court.
Both men also are charged with endangering the welfare of a minor, the sheriff's office said.
They were arrested just before 8 p.m. Saturday at a Wal-Mart store near Corbin after deputies answered complaints about an impaired driver.
Officers spotted the car involved in the store's parking lot and determined that the driver had fled, the sheriff's office said. Deputies then found Lawson hiding inside the store and arrested him, according to the sheriff's department.
Hoskins was arrested inside the parked car, where officers also found Lawson's seven-month-old son in Hoskins' care, the sheriff's office said.
Hoskins and Lawson were being held in the Laurel County jail.
