Harrison County Coroner Tom Ware said the state medical examiner's office was trying to identify two people who were found dead inside a burned house Monday in Harrison County.
Ware said only that the two victims appeared to be adults, and that the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
"I hope to be able to tell you more later today," he said Tuesday morning.
The blaze struck about 9 a.m. Monday at a home on Grays Run Pike near Cynthiana, the county seat, authorities said.
Ware said firefighters extinguished the blaze then found the two bodies inside.
Two children who lived at the home were at school when the fire occurred, according to published reports.
