A Fayette County grand jury has indicted a Lexington man on various charges related to child pornography.
Jacob Carter Wasson, 32, is charged with five counts, including use of electronic communication systems to induce a minor to engage in sex, distributing matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, possession of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, and distributing obscene material to a minor.
He also is charged with tampering with evidence.
The charges are based on alleged incidents in June and July, according to the indictment, which was made public Tuesday. Lexington police arrested Wasson on Aug. 8.

The indictment says Wasson used a cellphone and computer networks to induce a minor to engage in sex. During the same time, he also allegedly distributed or possessed with the intent to distribute matter portraying sexual performance by a minor, the indictment says.
The tampering charge stems from allegations that Wasson destroyed or concealed images on a cellphone.
