An inmate turned himself Wednesday in after being missing from the Fayette County jail since Tuesday night.
Brandon Sentell Riley, 30, reported in at the front lobby of the jail about 11:35 a.m. Wednesday, jail officials said.
He was booked back into the jail by 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, according to a media advisory.
Police had been looking for Riley since he failed to return Tuesday night from a court-ordered work-release pass. He was due back at the jail at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, but he didn't appear.
According to jail officials, Riley will now be held on his original charges of first-degree burglary, probation violation, fourth-degree assault and contempt of court, and on a charge of second-degree escape.
He had been due for release from jail on Oct. 31.
