Slick sections of some roads were closed in Lexington Tuesday morning as police dealt with accidents, according to the city's traffic engineering division.
Numerous crashes were reported, including one car that reportedly was hit twice. The second crash came after the car was off to the side of the road from the first wreck.
Military Pike was closed in both directions between Keene Road and James Lane as of about 9:10 a.m. Military also was closed at Harrodsburg Road, according to the traffic division. At one point, Spring Road at Bingham Drive was closed because of slippery conditions.
A car reportedly hit a tree on Clay's Mill Road.

Police said as of about 9:20 a.m., they could not provide a total of how many wrecks occurred, but "there's been a lot of them."
They continue to tell people to drive cautiously.
