A man wanted by the FBI for the carjacking and kidnapping of another man last week was captured Tuesday afternoon after a pursuit and foot chase.
Robert "Robbie" Caldwell, 25, of Danville, was arrested at 3:35 p.m. Tuesday after he led law enforcement officials on a vehicle and foot chase, according to the FBI's Louisville field office. He had abandoned a vehicle in Pulaski County and carjacked another vehicle a short distance away.
WKYT-TV reported Caldwell crashed the stolen vehicle on Highway 27 near Lincoln County High School. He then got out and ran into a cornfield.
Caldwell has been a wanted fugitive since Friday after he carjacked and kidnapped a man in Kansas City, Mo. The vehicle was later found in Bardstown after being involved in a car accident.

Caldwell was charged by the Kentucky State Police with first-degree fleeing and evading police, first-degree criminal mischief, kidnapping, robbery and theft by unlawful taking of an automobile, according to a Post 15 news release.
Federal charges will likely be filed against Caldwell.
The FBI is looking for a second man who was involved in the initial kidnapping and carjacking.
