Lexington police say they have arrested a woman who was missing and presumed dead.
Christiana Rae Davidson, 42, was arrested Wednesday afternoon in cooperation with Texas authorities. She was wanted on a warrant from Texas involving drug activity there, police said.
During a traffic stop at a Shell station on Iron Works Pike about 1:30 p.m., officers discovered a warrant for Davidson's arrest pending out of Harrison County, Texas.
When they contacted Texas authorities, Lexington police learned that Davidson went missing seven months ago and was presumed to be dead.
Davidson was taken to the Fayette County jail pending extradition to Texas.
In addition to the charges on the warrant, Davidson was charged with possessing marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, Lexington police said.
