The U.S. Marshals Task Force and Lexington police have arrested Martaveus L. Bell Jr., 20, on a murder charge in the slaying of Stacie L. Lillie, police said Friday afternoon.
Lillie, 51, was found lying on East Seventh Street after being shot in the torso at least once about 12:30 a.m. Nov. 28. She died that day at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. That night, police issued a warrant for Bell.
Bell was arrested Friday at 652 Gatehouse Place, police said.
According to Fayette County court documents, Bell received credit for time served after he was found guilty in 2012 of carrying a concealed and deadly weapon.
