Two men were hospitalized Wednesday for stab wounds after a fight and a foot chase.
A fight among two men and a woman spilled from inside a vehicle onto the 100 block of East Fourth Street about 11:10 a.m., Lexington police Sgt. Christopher Morrow said.
The fight started inside a gray Hyundai Sonata. One of the men got out of the car and began running down East Fourth Street, toward North Limestone. The other man and the woman got out of the car armed with a knife and a club, and they chased the first man, who had a small puncture wound in his buttocks, Morrow said.
The pursuing man dropped his knife, and the man being chased picked it up and stabbed the other man in the chest.
Both men were taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. The woman was not injured, Morrow said.
It is unclear what started the fight, but all three were being detained and questioned, Morrow said.
