A man was seriously injured Sunday evening after being struck by a car on Seventh Street, according to Lexington police.
The accident happened just before 9 p.m. The vehicle was traveling east on Seventh Street and had just crossed Limestone when it hit a man in his late 40s, according to Lt. Clayton Roberts.
The person driving the car stopped. Part of Seventh Street was closed Sunday evening while police investigated the crash.
The man was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
