A body found late Monday in Rockcastle County has been identified as that of a missing Lexington woman, Kentucky State Police said Tuesday.
Amelia E. Jones, 41, was found just after 7 p.m. Monday near an abandoned vehicle on Crooked Creek Road near the community of Johnetta in rural Rockcastle County, according to state police at the London post.
Jones had been reported missing Monday by a family member, according to Lexington police.
Foul play is not suspected, but the cause of death has not been determined, state police said.

An autopsy is scheduled in Frankfort later Tuesday.
State police said they received a call Monday evening about a vehicle that had been left abandoned on Crooked Creek Road. Troopers determined that the vehicle was connected with Jones, and they found her body a short distance away after a search, police said.
An investigation is continuing.
