A Bath County man faces several charges after a brief standoff with state police troopers.
Toby Roberson, 50, is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, fourth-degree assault and probation violation after Kentucky State Police were called about an assault at Clear Creek boat ramp in Bath County at 5:05 p.m. Monday, according to a news release.
When troopers arrived at the boat ramp, Roberson had left. He then barricaded himself in his home on Ky. 211 South in Salt Lick.
Roberson refused to speak with troopers or leave his house. Eventually, he was taken out of his home by state police and taken to University of Chandler Hospital to be treated for a self-inflicted knife wound to his hand.
The case remains under investigation, the news release said.
