State police have charged two men in the January 2013 homicides of a mother and daughter in Perry County, according to a news release.
Matthew S. Minks, 32, of Happy, was charged with two counts of murder. Ronnie M. Everage, 30, of Hazard, was charged with two counts of complicity to commit murder.
The charges stem from the deaths of Sandra K. Melton, 64, and Suzy Melton, 35. Their bodies were found in the burned remains of their home in Scuddy. Autopsies led authorities to rule the two had been murdered.
On Monday, police were investigating an armed robbery in which Everage was the suspect when they received information indicating Everage and Minks were involved in killing the mother and daughter, according to a news release.
