Two employees of a fast-food restaurant were robbed early Tuesday morning as they were closing and leaving the building, Lexington police said.
The robbery occurred at 2:10 a.m. at the Burger King on Lane Allen Road, Lexington Police Lt. Clay Combs said. No one was hurt.
A man brandishing a gun came up to the employees outside the restaurant and demanded cash. He took an undetermined amount of cash, plus a purse and a cellphone.
The robber was described as a black man who was about 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds. He wore a dark hoodie or sweatshirt. He was last seen running toward Home Depot.
