Police on Friday afternoon said they caught a man who had fled after fighting with a police officer on Interstate 64 near Lexington on Friday morning.
Lt. Joe Anderson said a caller told police that Christopher Cobb was at North Broadway and Paris Pike. Police then pursued Cobb and arrested him at about 4:45 p.m. at the Hi-Acres Shopping Center, 1786 Bryan Station Road.
Cobb will be facing several charges, Anderson said.
Police had been searching for Cobb after a fight started between him and a police officer during a traffic stop Friday morning. During the fight, the police officer tried to taze Cobb as Cobb tried to take the officer's pistol, police said.

Cobb ran toward a wooded area off I-64 near Cleveland Road. Police dogs, cruisers and a helicopter searched for Cobb in the area until about 2:45 p.m., police said.
