Lexington police were looking for witnesses in the shooting of a young man found early Sunday morning on Burnett Avenue near North Limestone.
Lamont Butler, 24, was found near the sidewalk after a resident heard commotion outside, police said Monday. Butler had a single gunshot wound in the abdomen, but he could not tell police who shot him or where he was shot.
Police have no suspects or information on a motive, Sgt. Ann Welch said. No witnesses have come forward other than the person who found Butler.
Butler was taken to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, where he was treated for the gunshot wound. Police could not comment on his condition.
