Lexington police say they arrested a man who fired shots into an unoccupied vehicle and later led them on a foot chase.
Police were called to the 2900 block of Winter Garden Drive at 12:55 p.m. Tuesday after shots were fired into a vehicle there, said police spokeswoman Sgt. Ann Welch said.
She said the victim knew the shooter and identified him to police, who began looking for him in the area where he lives. Later in the afternoon, Welch said an officer spotted the suspect, Jacob Gross, off Appian Way, but Gross ran.
Police found Gross behind 3645 Appian Way and arrested him. They recovered a stolen gun from him, she said.

Gross, 22, is charged with wanton endangerment, fleeing and evading police and receiving stolen property. He also was arrested on two outstanding warrants.
