A Knox County woman accused of stabbing a man to death has been charged with murder, according to the Barbourville Police Department.
Police were called to the Dogtown community in Knox County about 4 p.m. Tuesday and found Don Woolum Jr., 38, of Barbourville, lying on the side of a road. Woolum was bleeding from a stab wound, police said.
He was taken to Knox County Hospital, where he died.
Witnesses said they saw Jessica Hubbard, 34, of Barbourville, stab Woolum during an altercation, police said. Officers later found Hubbard at a home where she'd been staying.
They took her to the Knox County Hospital with minor injuries before taking her to the county jail, according to a news release. She was charged with murder.
The investigation continues.
