Two women have been charged with robbing a man and hitting him with a car, with three children in their vehicle at the time, Lexington police said.
Kennetha Kay Frye, 23, and Jessica Marie Thompson, 27, were each charged with first-degree robbery and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor.
The man told police that the women took $320 from him and then tried to flee in the car.
The man then was struck by the car, "which dragged him a short distance before he fell off the hood," according to information filed in Fayette District Court.

The victim gave police a description of the black Nissan and its license number. An officer found the car a short time later with the three children inside on the 1100 block of Horsemans Lane near Red Mile harness-racing track.
Frye and Thompson were arrested, and the children were released to relatives, Lexington police Sgt. Ann Welch said.
