A Lexington man has pleaded not guilty to charges filed after he allegedly went inside a park bathroom and scared several children over the weekend.
Andre Houston, 35, is charged with criminal trespassing, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, tampering with evidence and first-degree promoting drug contraband. He grabbed, chased and went into the bathroom with the children, scaring them during Saturday's East End Family Reunion at Charles Young Park on Midland Avenue, according to Fayette District Court documents.
Houston was banned from the park twice last week by Parks and Recreation, the documents said.
The drug charges were added after police officers found a crack pipe and cocaine residue in his mouth. Houston hid the pipe and drugs to keep them from being seen by jail staff, the documents said.
Houston was being held in the Fayette County jail on a $8,050 bond. He's due in court on Friday.
