A man with a handgun followed a woman into her home on Chestnut Ridge Drive early Monday, Lexington police said.
The woman was pulling her vehicle into her garage when the man walked in behind her, forced her into her house and demanded money, according to Lexington police. The woman ran into a back bedroom and locked the door.
The man stole a purse and money before leaving the house through a window, according to police.
Another adult and two children, ages 5 and 11, were in the house at the time, according to police. No injuries were reported.
The robber was described as a short man with a white bandana over his face and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, according to police.
