A Tates Creek Middle School student was removed from school Thursday for possessing a "fake hit list" containing the names of five students and two teachers.
The girl was charged with terroristic threatening, according to the Fayette County Public Schools.
According to district officials, two students told a teacher they had seen the student with a hit list. Law enforcement was alerted.
Officials said the girl had written the names on a sheet of paper entitled "fake hit list."

All of the families of students involved were notified. A letter to parents explaining the situation also was sent home with other Tates Creek Middle School students.
