Drive with extra care on the way to work Wednesday morning, because Lexington's streets will be more crowded than at any time in recent weeks.
Fayette County Public Schools reopen Wednesday for the 2009-10 school year.
School officials said that slow-moving school buses will be making frequent stops to pick up youngsters, and that children will be gathered on sidewalks and at corners to wait for buses. Morning traffic will be particularly heavy around schools, with buses arriving, students driving to class, and parents dropping off children.
School officials ask that you take care, and perhaps allow a few extra minutes to get to work.
Never miss a local story.
