The Fayette County Public Schools have designated four more weather make-up days to compensate for instructional days recently lost to winter weather.
So far, the district has missed a total of six days because of snow -— Jan. 7-8, and Feb. 9-10 and 16-17. Officials previously had designated two days to make up Jan. 7-8.
To compensate for the recent four lost days, classes will now be in session on May 27-28 and June 1-June 2, district officials said Wednesday. That will push the last day of school this year from May 26 to June 2 — unless there's more snow.
Other possible make-up days that could be used if needed include June 3-4 and June 7-11. Any days beyond that would require approval by the Board of Education.
