Five people have been elected to the Fayette County Schools' Superintendent Screening Committee.
The members are: Parent Representative, Jessica Berry; Teacher Representative, Jessica Hiler, president of the Fayette County Education Association; Teacher Representative, Amanda Hurley, Henry Clay High School; Principal Representative, Amy McVey, Veterans Park School; and Classified Representative, Kim Webb, a transportation department employee.
The Fayette County Board of Education is expected to endorse the selections at its meeting Monday night. The board also must select one of its members to serve on the screening committee.
The committee will be responsible for reviewing superintendent applicants and submitting a list of recommended candidates to the school board.
The board hopes to name a successor for outgoing Superintendent Stu Silberman by July 1.
