UK mascots, players join young students to encourage safe walks to school

A few UK football players, the University of Kentucky mascot Scratch and UK Children's Hospital mascot Stitches joined a group of adults and elementary students commemorating Walk to School Day by using their feet to get from The Church at Tatesbrook on Appian Way to the Academy for Leadership at Millcreek Elementary on Reva Ridge Way in Lexington early Wednesday morning. UK center Max Godby and offensive guard Jordan Watson joined the kids about 7 a.m. for the walk.
