Kentucky's community and technical colleges will host an online transfer fair Wednesday to link students with admissions representatives and advisers at more than 40 schools.
The event, Transfer Madness, runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. at Transfermadness.org.
Students will be able to chat live with admissions counselors, learn about scholarships, download brochures and other information and register to win prizes.
The event is intended to connect students in the Kentucky Community and Technical College System to four-year institutions; assist high school students who plan to attend a community college before transferring; and help students at four-year schools who are thinking about transferring.
Kentucky's eight public universities, the 16 KCTCS colleges, 15 independent colleges and universities and two for-profit schools will be participating, as will the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority, KnowHow2Transfer.org and CollegeFish.org.
"Preparing students to transfer is one of the things we do best," said Augusta Julian, president of Bluegrass Community and Technical College, said in a news release. "We are a pipeline for students who want to complete their bachelor's degrees. ... Starting at BCTC is an excellent way to save money and build a foundation for a great college education."
