Fayette County Public Schools has set the K-PREP state testing dates for this spring: May 21, 22, 23, 27 and 28. The make-up dates are May 29, May 30, June 2, and June 3.
K-PREP (Kentucky Performance Rating for Educational Progress) is designed to measure how well students are learning the material that Kentucky requires in the areas of reading, math, science, social studies and writing. Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 and 11 will take the test. Families are urged not to schedule routine doctor's appointments or otherwise take students out of school during the testing window.
The testing is scheduled during the last 14 days of a district's instructional calendar, and June 6 is the last day of classes in Fayette County.
