Kentucky State University's Mighty Marching Thorobred Band will perform at the regular-season home opener of the NFL's Indianapolis Colts on Monday night.
Kickoff is set for 8:30 p.m. The Colts play the Philadelphia Eagles.
"It's going to be one of the most exciting halftime shows," interim band director Robert Griffin said. "We're very excited about it. It's a big honor when a marching band from a small university is invited to play during Monday Night Football."
The Colts are providing 150 tickets and will cover transportation costs, food and beverages for all band participants.
KSU's band annually performs at numerous events through the year, including KSU football games, festivals, parades and as the pep band at KSU basketball games.
