Kentucky delegates and alternates to the Republican National Convention elected United States Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin as co-chairmen for the state’s delegation at a meeting Saturday in Louisville. The pair will lead 46 delegate and 43 alternates as they head to Cleveland for the July convention, a news release said.
The delegation also elected members to serve on four committees at the convention: Mike Duncan and Lt. Governor Jenean Hampton, Committee on Credentials; state Sen. Ralph Alvarado and Kelly Knight, Committee on Rules and Order of Business; Nathan Haney and state Sen. Julie Raque Adams, Committee on Platform; and Mac Brown and KC Crosbie, Committee on Permanent Organization.
