The crash happened just before 5 a.m. Saturday, when the passenger side of the eastbound Impala dropped off the right side of the road. The car hit a concrete bridge barrier and came to a stop in the middle of the road, state police said.
State police told WKYT-TV that alcohol is suspected as a factor.
A minor secondary crash occurred when a westbound truck pulling a boat on a trailer came upon the crash and slowed down but was unable to come to a full stop or steer around the disabled vehicle.
Ky. 52, also known as Lancaster Road, was closed for several hours while officials investigated.
