A Nicholas County farmer was killed in a tractor accident, according to the county coroner.
Charles Doyle, 81, was pronounced dead at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Cynthiana, Coroner Tom Ware said. The accident was reported late Monday afternoon on Doyle’s farm near the Bourbon County line.
Nicholas County Sheriff Jeff Sidles said Doyle had been mowing when he apparently fell off the tractor.
“We don’t know for sure, but it’s possible he may have had some sort of medical emergency,” falling off, Sidles said.
Doyle’s wife became concerned when she didn’t hear the tractor. She went out to look for her husband and found him on a hillside.
Doyle was taken by ambulance to the hospital, 10 to 12 miles away from the farm, Sidles said.
