A day after the Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport began offering cheap airfare to Europe, the Louisville International Airport added a new cost-friendly destination that could be just as popular.
At a news conference Thursday morning, Allegiant Air announced it will begin offering one-way fares from Louisville to Las Vegas for as low as $54 this November.
Allegiant is a low-cost airline who offers its flights exclusively through its website.
Las Vegas is the ninth destination that will fly out of Louisville through Allegiant, according to the Courier-Journal. Sin City will join six Florida cities (Daytona Beach, Destin, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, Punta Gorda and Tampa/St. Petersburg) as well as Phoenix and Savannah.
The Las Vegas-Louisville route will operate Thursdays and Sundays. Southwest Airlines also offers nonstop services between the two sites, Louisville Business First reported.
