The Old Farmer’s Almanac has released its forecast for winter, and the predictions are relatively mild for Kentucky.
The commonwealth is expected to see a mild and wet winter, but the United States as a whole is expected to see a colder winter than last year, according to the almanac. Temperatures nationwide are expected to dip lower than last year, but they are expected to be milder than average overall.
For much of the country, above-average precipitation is expected, according to the almanac. Only the Pacific Northwest and the upper Midwest are expected to see lower levels of rain and snowfall.
