A man accused in a Lexington stabbing and robbery in April was arrested Wednesday.
James Mays, 50, allegedly got upset with a homeowner on Pimlico Parkway on April 2 and stabbed him with a steak knife, according to court records. Mays cutting the victim’s left arm and face and then leaving the house with the victim’s wallet and cellphone.
When the victim followed Mays outside to try to retrieve his wallet and cellphone, Mays allegedly stabbed him in the right arm and ran off, court records said. The victim went to Saint Joseph East Hospital with the stab wounds.
Mays was charged with robbery. He has been placed in the Fayette County Jail.
