A Danville woman died Friday after a two-vehicle collision in Lincoln County, Kentucky State Police said.
Angela M. Peters, 38, was taken to Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford, where she was pronounced dead by the Lincoln County coroner, state police said in a release.
Peters was driving a 2015 Buick that was struck head-on by a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Jerry L. Day, 24, of Stanford, the release said.
State police were called just before 9 a.m. to a collision that occurred on Ky. 78 at the intersection of Elliott Brothers Road southeast of Stanford.

The initial investigation indicates that the pickup driven by Day had pulled into the oncoming traffic as he passed a vehicle turning onto Elliott Brothers Road, the release said.
Day was transported to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital in Lexington with non-life-threatening injuries, state police said.
