An overturned tractor-trailer on northbound Interstate 75 in Madison County has disrupted Monday morning traffic.
The one-vehicle crash occurred near the Fayette County line near exit 97 for the Clays Ferry, and it caused two lanes of traffic to be closed, according to WKYT.
Police told LEX 18’s Conroy Delouche as of 6:40 a.m. that the two lanes will be closed for a couple more hours, and that wet pavement was likely the cause of the crash.
Robert Purdy, public affairs officer for Kentucky State Police Post 7, tweeted at 7:55 a.m. that drivers should expect significant delays. Traffic is backed up for around 4 miles, he said.
Delouche reported that the truck driver wa uninjured. He was hauling paper for Schneider from Florida to Michigan.
