A Tennessee man has filed a federal lawsuit against Rowan County Clerk Kim Davis for denying him a license to marry his laptop computer.
The lawsuit was filed July 1 by Chris Sevier and includes Kentucky Gov. Matt Bevin and Attorney General Andy Beshear as defendants alongside Davis, according to court documents.
Much of the 44-page legal complaint compares same-sex marriages to Sevier’s would-be marriage to his laptop.
Sevier has filed several similar lawsuits, including one in June against a Utah clerk.
Never miss a local story.
A Nashville address is listed for Sevier in court documents and in a line that says his Kentucky address is redacted.
