One person was injured in a Sunday morning stabbing in Mercer County, which police are calling an attempted murder.
The stabbing happened at a residence on Louisville Road in the McAfee area, according to a statement on the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office Facebook Page.
The victim, whose name was withheld, was flown to University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital, the statement read. The victim’s injuries were later determined to be non-life-threatening. The suspect, Ronald C. Puckett, of Salvisa, was taken to James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg, and then to UK Chandler Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
Puckett has been charged with one count of attempted murder and will be lodged in the Boyle County Detention Center after he is released from the hospital, the statement read. Other charges were being investigated.
