An apparent fight among family members put two men in the hospital, one shot and one stabbed. A boy also was hurt.
The domestic disturbance occurred Monday night within the Collins household in the Topmost community of Knott County, according to Kentucky State Police.
Justin Collins, 20, was shot in the right leg. Tommy Collins was stabbed in the abdomen, and an unidentified juvenile boy was hit with a blunt object, according to a state police news release.
All three were taken to McDowell Appalachian Regional Healthcare. Tommy Collins was transferred to University of Kentucky Hospital.
The fight's cause is unknown, and police continue to investigate. Charges are possible, a state police spokesman said.
