Montgomery County police have charged a man with murder after remains found in a wooded area on Friday were identified as those of his stepbrother.
James Derek Stell is being held in the Montgomery County jail.
He was charged after dental records helped medical examiners identify David Dotson Jr., who had been missing for almost two years.
Dotson disappeared in December 2007. His family has said that he was last seen with Stell.
Police said Stell took investigators to an area on Ky. 1050 in the Jeffersonville area, where the remains were then found.
Dotson had been shot several times, officials say.
