A Casey County man shot two women at a grocery store Friday afternoon before driving away, then killing himself along Ky. 837.
Marshall "Ray" Brown, 59, allegedly walked into the Down Home grocery store in Walltown near the Casey-Lincoln County line at about 1:45 p.m. on Christmas Day and shot two women, said Casey County 911 dispatcher Scott Wilkerson.
The two women, whose names weren't available, were taken to Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital in Stanford with non-life-threatening injuries, Wilkerson said.
After the shooting, Brown walked toward the Walltown Christian Church where he was found dead, apparently of a self-inflicted gunshot wound, Wilkerson said.
Brown had apparently been living with one of the women, Wilkerson said.
Casey County Sheriffs deputies are still investigating, with assistance from the county constables, state police and city police.
