The body of a Leslie County man was found Friday morning beneath his all-terrain vehicle in a ditch in a rural area of the county, Leslie County Coroner Greg Walker said.
The man was reported missing on Thursday
William Ingram, 66, apparently was driving down a steep road, and the vehicle ran off the roadway and into a deep ditch, overturning and landing on top of him, the coroner said.
"It was slick up there," Walker said. "I'm sure the weather did contribute to the accident."
Never miss a local story.
An autopsy was scheduled to determine whether the accident or something else caused Ingram's death.
Ingram was last seen alive by a neighbor about 1:30 p.m. Thursday. Neighbors and others went looking for him after he did not return home. One of the search groups found his body about 6:20 a.m. Friday. He had been dead for some time, Walker said.
