A man who police say escaped from the Marion County Adjustment Center on Jan. 17 was captured Tuesday afternoon in Mercer County.
John K. Francis, 40, was found hiding in a closet crawl space by two Mercer County sheriff's deputies who had gone to a home on Bushtown Road to serve a warrant on someone wanted for domestic violence.
Francis was arrested without incident and taken to the Boyle County Detention Center. He faces a charge of first-degree escape.
He had been serving a five-year sentence for drug trafficking and bail jumping. Brian Wyatt, another prisoner who police say escaped with Francis, was arrested Thursday at a relative's home near Cox's Creek in Nelson County.
