Four more Kentucky counties have been added to the state's federal disaster declaration for public assistance from severe weather damage last month, officials announced Thursday.
Ballard, Carlisle, Hickman and Clark counties will now have federal funds available to local governments and certain private nonprofit organizations for the repair or replacement of facilities damaged by the weather on May 1. Clark County was previously designated for individual assistance.
The announcement brings the total number of counties designated for public assistance to 76.
