Joseph Goree, 34, of Dry Ridge was charged with several crimes and jailed after a woman was shot early Sunday, according to Kentucky State Police.
Sharli Bowman, 30, received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to University of Cincinnati Hospital.
Police received a complaint of a fight in progress at 199 Kells Road in Pendleton County at 12:37 a.m. and found the injured woman at the residence, state police said.
Goree was charged with first-degree assault; two counts of first-degree wanton endangerment; possession of a firearm by a convicted felon; and fourth-degree assault. He was lodged in the Boone County Detention Center, state police said.
