A reported ex-girlfriend of murder suspect Jason Edward Singleton was arrested Friday and charged with intimidating a witness involved in the murder case of Singleton's wife.
Christina Thompkins Marcum, 27, was arrested in Georgetown about 7:15 p.m. Friday, according to Kentucky State Police, after a witness in the murder investigation of Angela Frazier Singleton, Singleton's wife, allegedly was threatened.
Thompkins Marcum, who was booked into the Fayette County Detention Center, was not charged in the murder. Family members told a TV station that Thompkins Marcum was Singleton's former girlfriend.
According to court records, Thompkins Marcum was interviewed by police after Jason Edward Singleton was arrested in January in Madison County; Thompkins told authorities Singleton told her he strangled Angela Singleton on Jan. 18.

Jason Singleton was arrested in Somerset Jan. 20 after allegedly stealing a car, brandishing a gun and holding employees of a trucking company hostage briefly.
Singleton has been charged with murder, as well as with four counts of wanton endangerment, four counts of unlawful imprisonment, disorderly conduct, car theft and criminal mischief.
