A Greenup County man has been indicted on child pornography charges, Attorney General Jack Conway announced on Wendnesday.
Brendin Allan Elder, 22, of Russell, was indicted on June 10 on four counts of possession of matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor, a Class D felony.
As part of an undercover investigation by the attorney general's office that began on Nov. 9, 2010, an investigator used file sharing in a "peer-to-peer network" to identify a computer that contained child pornography located in Russell, according to a release from Conway's office.
Kentucky State Police executed a search warrant at Elder's home on Jan. 20. An arrest warrant for Elder was issued on June 13 with bond set at $20,000 cash or property.
