One of two Laurel County inmates who walked away from a work detail Tuesday has been apprehended.
Jimmy Martin was taken into custody on Friday just before midnight. He was found hiding in a mobile home on Gum Branch Road in Clay County, according to a news release from authorities. Martin escaped the home through a back window but was captured after a short foot chase.
He was taken back to the Laurel County Correctional Facility in London and will be charged with escape, authorities said.
Mark Turner, the other inmate who left with Martin last week, remains missing.
